Welcome to Losantiville Press!
Losantiville Press, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, was established in 2007. Its mission is to provide a distinctive option for local authors seeking to publish their work.
Why the name Losantiville?
For a brief period of time at its founding in 1788, the city of Cincinnati was known as Losantiville, a name created from four parts: the city (the French ville), opposite (the Greek anti), the mouth (the Latin os) of the Licking River in northern Kentucky (the letter L).
Today, Cincinnati is often called the Queen City of the West or the City of Seven Hills; Losantiville is used less frequently.
